Senior Physician Doctor of Seti Zonal Hospital, Subesh Raj Kayastha said that the patients visiting in the hospital are suffered from liver, kidney infection. People visiting from such infection are now confirmed to be suffered by typhus. It is estimated that 2 people have died due to the infection of typhus. The infection of Scrub Typhus is seen in the patients of eastern districts these days. The District Health Office has even sent letters to the concerned bodies to adopt prevention in 16 eastern districts. Typhus fevers are caused by the rickettsiae bacteria and transmitted by arthropod (e.g. flea, mite, tick) bites. When arthropods bite a victim, they leave the rickettsaie bacteria behind. Scratching the bite opens the skin to the bacteria, allowing them to enter the bloodstream. Within the blood stream, the bacteria grow and replicate. The early symptoms of scrub typhus are head ache, fever and eve pain in joints. The infection of typhus is seen Kailali, Dadheldhura, Accham and other parts of the country.
